Our aim is to promote Libyan Art and Culture and raise awareness to help serve the community and build a creative environment in the UK and globally.

Libya and the Arab region are well known for their rich cultural history strongly reflected in crafts, visual art, fashion/textiles and digital media. Here at Beit El Fezzani gallery we would like to support, encourage and strengthen these artists to be able to reach out to the world and develop a sustainable creative industry.

We connect with many Libyan artists, craftsmen and art dealers to show case their work and products. Our collection consists of several Libyan artist and some Arab as listed below:

Murad Belhaj

A Libyan/British artist, born in 1968 originally from Yefren city with a background of Amazigh culture however grew up in Tripoli.

Although he had graduated from Middlesex University, London (MSc Financial Management), his passion for art and his self taught artistic skills were expressed in his paintings. His other interests were in Sociology, Linguistics, History and physiology sciences.

Belhaj describes himself as a Human-being seeking peace & prosperity to the whole world.

Abdallah Said

Is a Libyan artist who makes sculptures of crafts in wood, symbolizing Libyan culture. He comes from Shahat the Eastern side of Libya.

Ahsen Guerfallah

Is a visual artist from Djerba, Tunis. His paintings are distinguished expressing his love for the sea, his city and his culture.

In his beautiful gallery, in the ancient city of Houmt Souk in Djerba, he paints for beauty, identity and culture. Inspired by the Berber symbols and shapes he makes installations with fishes and vases hanging down.

He loved Djerba since his childhood and was present in almost all of its cultural and artistic events. The virtuous city of Djerba is a major city of arts and culture.
